Creative Car Mods That Will Definitely Turn Heads

We’ve all had that damage to our car that’s just too minuscule to fix. It doesn’t necessarily impact the function of our vehicles, so we can’t quite justify the cost of repairing it, let alone replacing any parts that might be affected by it. The car runs fine; it’s just, unfortunately, doing so in a suddenly more unsightly manner. That’s why we’ve put together this list of car mods that’ll help you make a little fun out of that damage, or even just add a little spice to your ride.

Give Your Wipers A Little Flex Power

Another great way you can use to add a little pizazz to your car can be to make a unique joke out of your wipers (preferably those on your rear wipers to minimize anything that could potentially distract you while driving). In the example you see here, we have found a crafty car owner who has turned their rear wiper into an Arnold Schwarzenegger who has the seemingly unending ability to flex for the cars behind him. (With the size of his biceps, that infinite flexing power of his doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch to us in reality.)

Keep Your Hood Ornament Warm

This mod is a subtle touch that adds just a little bit of character to your otherwise cool and collected ride. If you’re lucky enough to have a crafty person in the family, try asking them to knit up a little sweater to place on your hood ornament in the cooler months. Here you can see someone has done just that with a grey and blue striped getup for the hood ornament on his or her Jaguar. This can be a fun and subtle way of helping you identify your car in a crowd of others that might be similar, too.

Gut Your Cracked Bumper (And Then Fill It Up Again)

We probably don’t need to tell you that rust can easily do a number on our vehicles, sometimes cracking and chipping the fenders or bumpers on a car beyond repair. If that happens to you, you don’t have to leave that chunk missing in yours empty and gaping like so many other cars on the road. Instead, fill it up with your favorite little figurines or artifacts. In this picture, you can see one Disney fan has taken it upon himself to represent his favorite movies and shows with a few friendly faces to keep other drivers company out there.

Make Your Own Character Hubcap

Whether your hubcap was ripped off or it is merely damaged more than you care to admit, we have the perfect solution for you; cover it up in a way that represents you. One of our favorites comes in the wake of the resurgence of the Star Wars era and in the shape of our new favorite droid BB-8. All it takes is a custom-made sphere to attach over one of your wheels and then a little head attached right above it to give your car the look of having a friendly droid tagging along.

Side Mirror Mods

Modifications made to your side mirror can be particularly great if, for some reason, your mirror gets knocked a little loose (or gets torn off completely). Rather than settling for something that looks close enough to what you had but somehow just a tiny bit different, you could opt to take on a different look altogether for a replacement. Try something like this skeleton hand that was added to give the appearance of it holding that mirror out ever so helpfully to the side of your car. (It doesn’t have to be a skeleton if that’s a little too grim for your tastes.)

Hide A Dent WithA Decal

Maybe you got sideswiped, or perhaps you just opened your door in a place where you thought you had more room than you did. Either way, you’ve been left with a dent in a place you don’t want it. An easy and unique way to fix that can be to add a sort of custom decal that somehow incorporates the damage. Here you can see an owner using the dent in his door to add a little extra dimension to a hand-painted topographical map. It’s an easy way to conceal that dent while adding a little style to your car.
