Balzer

The 1894 Balzer, a motorized quadricycle with a 3-speed manual transmission, was invented by New Yorker Stephen Balzer. It was the first car displayed at the Smithsonian Institute, showcasing its innovative lightweight three-cylinder engine design.

The next vehicle was one one-cylinder, four-horsepower car.
