1. Volkswagen I.D. Buzz
Volkswagen has a long legacy of designing quirky, eccentric cars that become pop culture icons. From the diminutive Volkswagen Beetle to the iconic microbuses used by legions of members of the 1960s counterculture, VW’s cars have a unique identity that sets them apart from other makers. While the VW Beetle got a remake in 1997, fans of the microbus have been waiting for decades for a new version. At this year’s Detroit Auto Show, VW finally rolled out a new microbus design called the I.D. Buzz. Details about the all-electric van are still scarce, but Volkswagen has hinted at a 2018 or 2019 release.
